Want it, Rent it, Own it
I’m sure many of us have been in a situation where we wish we had a little more money to tide us over until our next pay or Centrelink benefit go into our account. Maybe your washing machine or fridge stops working, you need a new phone, your kids need new iPads or laptops for school, or some other unexpected expenses come along – things happen that just aren’t planned or budgeted for.
Some people in this situation turn to what are known as “payday lenders” – these are businesses that usually loan small amounts of money over a short period of time, usually with high fees and interest rates attached. It is possible, when some of the fees and penalties are taken into account, that interest rates can sometimes top 800%.
So what do you do if your children need a laptop for school work or your fridge stops working?
One option is to use our rent-to-own program where you lease or rent the item for a period of time and then you may be offered the opportunity to own the goods after your contract is finished. Direct Appliance Rentals is committed to helping low-income families and Centrelink customers that don’t have the necessary funds to buy essential household products outright. Rather than borrowing money to meet existing commitments, call us and discuss your situation and we will look at how we can work together to help you hire a new fridge, washing machine, computer, TV, phone, etc.
The easy way to pay for your household appliances – so how does it work?
Direct Appliance Rentals is an accredited Centrepay provider which means that you can have the fortnightly rental payment for your white-goods, TV’s and computers automatically deducted from your Centrelink payment and sent directly to us.
The service is free of charge and customers who choose to use Centrepay deduction program benefit from its convenience and security, knowing that their payments are always under control.
To utilise this payment option with us, we will come out to visit you to complete a deduction form and then process everything at our end.
Visit the Centrepay web page for more information about Centrepay.
If you do not receive a Centrelink benefit, we can set-up a Direct Debit where your payments are automatically deducted from your credit card or bank account fortnightly directly to us.
