Can you make a vented dryer ventless?

Always Use a Vent

No, you shouldn’t make a vented dryer ventless. Vents are important to have in your dryer! Vents create suction to take the lint from your clothes and keep the air flowing.

Taking out the vent would be unsafe for you and your family. Direct your vent outside and leave gases, warm air, and lint behind! Don’t breathe in fumes and ruin your clothes- keep your vented dryer intact!

Our vented dryer rentals are easy to install and use. Delivery is even free! So go on and get your dryer hand-delivered right to your door. When you’re juggling home life and everything else going on, the last thing you want is to stress about organising pick-up.

The filters at the front of your machine make it super easy to remove lint. Also, with up-to-date drying sensors, your clothes will be dried in no time! Rent today and discover the wonders of an affordable vented dryer!

Do vented dryers shrink clothes?

Vented Dryers Shrink Some Fabrics

Vented tumble dryers remove water from your clothes using high heat. When high heat is used, many types of fabric will shrink.  Drying also happens when the clothes are rotated in the dryer. The fibres in your clothes can shrink due to the pressure in the movement.

However, condenser dryers also use high heat and will shrink clothes too. Many clothes also inevitably shrink over time.

But in some good news, we have a solution for you! With our dryers, you can enjoy two temperature settings: cool and warm. The cold setting works to prevent shrinking your clothes! So go ahead and rent a dryer at Direct Rental Appliances. With us, you can easily choose the best type of dryer for your needs!

Do vented dryers dry faster?

Fast Drying

Vented dryers are faster than condenser dryers! Don’t spend hours waiting for your favourite outfit to dry. If you’re a busy mum, you can’t afford to be stuck indoors all day! Check out our vented dryers and choose from the fastest dryers in the market!

Our dryers don’t have just one setting. From 7 to 9 programs, our dryers have so many options. Just select the garment type and how you want them dried. Wash bulky bedding or hand towels – our dryers can handle it!. Or go easy on your clothes and choose gentler settings!

With reverse tumble action in the 7kg vented dryer, your clothes can even come out less wrinkly! Ditch the ironing board and apply to rent a 7kg vented dryer today!

Do vented tumble dryers come with a hose?

Hose Included

Yes! Our vented tumble dryers come with a hose included. This is an important part of the appliance. The hose is used to filter out the lint and warm air from the dryer.

There are many benefits to renting a dryer. Here at Direct Rental Appliances, we offer low fixed payments. If you are living pay check to pay check, don’t worry about paying huge sums of cash upfront! We offer you manageable weekly instalments so you can have the dryer you want sooner.

Unlike some appliances, you don’t have to pay a deposit for a washer or dryer! Dryers are one of the most expensive appliances, and we don’t want you to be hit with any extra fees. You may be able to buy out for as little as $1** at the end of your lease!

Do vented tumble dryers need plumbing?

Install Your Tumble Dryer

Vented tumble dryers don’t need plumbing like a washing machine 🙂

But be careful when installing your vented tumble dryer. Don’t turn your dryer on until you are sure nothing is blocking the air pathway. This is also why you should never keep your vented tumble dryer in a cabinet.

A blocked air pathway can lead to a variety of problems. There may be more lint on your clothing and it may even cover the floor! The dryer can also overheat and stop drying your clothes completely.

When this happens, you should go outside and check if hot air is coming out. If hot air is not coming out, check if all the lint is removed and make sure the vent isn’t covered. Or seek professional advice.

How to fit a vented tumble dryer in your home?

Quick Installation

You can install a vented tumble dryer yourself in only a few hours!

There are only a few steps to installing a tumble dryer, but they are important when it comes to the safety of your family.  Make sure you read the installation instructions that come with the dryer you have rented, but a general guide is outlined below.

You first need to understand where the vent is going to lead to. This should be a short distance and shouldn’t lead to another area in the house or garage!

Next, find where to put the vent exit. You will need to cut a place for the vent hood to open. Then, secure the vent hood from the outside of your home. Once back inside, connect the dryer to your exit path!

When all the connections are sealed, you can do a test run! If you are unsure or run into any problems, we recommend having a professional help you!
